China's Ministry of Agriculture recently approved a seed treatment capsule suspension based on active ingredients fipronil and chlorpyrifos.The product was jointly developed by the Institute of Plant Protection Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science and Beijing Yoloo Pesticide Ltd.

The research selects the fipronil and chlorpyrifos mixture which is grubbing efficient while using an in situ polymerization method,having achieved capsulation of solid pesticide active ingredient and innovatively produced the fipronil and chlorpyrifos seed treatment capsule suspension 18% using melamine resin being wall material.

With an excellent slow-release property,a single application of the product gives an efficient subterranean pest control covering the whole growing period of peanut with a pest control efficiency reaching above 95%,enabling reduction of quantity and number of pesticide applications while yield is increased.The peanut pesticide residues remain lower than international standard.ensuring a safe production of peanut.
