Introduction
Captan is a nonsystemic phthalimide fungicide used to control diseases of many fruit, ornamental, and vegetable crops.It improves fruit finish by giving it a healthy, bring colored appearance. It is used in agricultural production as well as by the home gardener. A major use of captan is in apple production.

Appearance: white powder.
Melting Point: 178 a t25°C.
Vapor Pressure: 1.3 mPa at 25°C.
Stability:soluble in water 3.3 mg/L 25°C, soluble in alcohol and xylene, not soluble in chloroform and cyclohexanone.
Toxicity: Acute oral LD50 (mice) more than 8400-15000mg/kg, inhalation LC50 (2-hour) in mice is 5.0 mg/L.
Specification: 92%TC, 50%WP, 80%WDG.
Uses: It is road spectrum fungicide, especially effective against lepidopter and coleopter, like stem borer, common cabbage worm and diamond-back moth. Recommanded on rice, sugarcane, tea, vegetables and fruit trees.
