China's agrochemical production increased 11.93% in Dec 2013 to 337618.07 tons
year-on-year. In 2013, total agrochemical production was up by 1.64% reaching
3189525.26 tons comparing to 2012, according to the National Bureau of
Statistics of China (NBS).

In Dec 2013, the volume of herbicide production grew by 14.41% to 186300.01 tons
year-on-year, accounting for 55.2% of total agchem production. Insecticide
production continued to drop by 4.03% to 59941.51, representing 17.8% of the
total production. Fungicide production saw a 11.81% increase to 17220.74 tons,
making up 5.1% of the total production.

Shandong stayed to be the largest agchem production province with production
volume of 95869.75 tons, followed by Jiangsu and Sichuan with production volume
of 71014.28 and 32630.33 tons,respectively.
