On 30 Dec, the List of Toxic Chemicals Severely Restricted for Import and Export in China (2014 version) was issued by Ministry of Environment Protection (MEP) and General Administration of Customs (GAC) jointly, and it will take effect as of 1 Jan 2014.
Importers and exporters of hazardous chemicals included in the List are required to apply for relevant environment management registration certificates and clearance notification. (Please refer to Article 16, Chapter 3, MEP Order 22)
Since the List of Toxic Chemicals Severely Restricted for Import and Export in China was first published in 2005, it has been updated and revised every year as needs arise and experience is gained in its implementation. The previous versions expire automatically as the new List come into force.
