China’s agrochemical production recorded a 6.08% decrease in Oct 2013 to 262,404.71 tons year-on-year. The volume of pesticide production from Jan to Oct slightly fell down by 0.35% to 2,619,711.83 tons, according to the National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS).

In Oct,herbicide production went down by 3.82% to 140,934.44 tons year-on-year,representing the biggest production categoryof 53.7% of the total volume.Insecticide production also dropped 7.49% to 59,585.69 tons,making up 22.7% of the total volume.Fungicide production increased 5.83% to 12,892.42 tons,accounting for 4.9% of the total production volume.

Shandong remained the largest production province by production volume of 71,831.36 tons.Following is Jiangsu with 62,423.23 tons and Henan with 24,663.9 tons.
